About LIN3A
It started with a question: what if the game of S.K.A.T.E was played with lines?
LIN3A is an idea by SK8iT. We took the game every skater knows and changed one thing: instead of a trick, every turn is a three-trick line. Only three letters, S, K and 8, 1 vs 1 bracket battles and everything on camera for the scene to watch.
What moves us
A format that rewards skating, not just landing the hardest trick.
The concept borrows the energy of Battle at the Berrics: two skaters, one spot, one camera. We added the line because a line says more about a skater than any single trick.
Lines, not single tricks
A line demands reading the spot, carrying speed and staying consistent. Three tricks in a row say more about a skater than one attempt.
Clear rules
Three letters, two tries and an extra try on the last one. Anyone can follow a battle without needing it explained.
Scene first
Local skaters, a familiar spot and brands that are part of the culture. LIN3A exists to give the scene content and a stage, not to replace it.
How a contest works
From the invitation to the final, all at the same spot.
Every LIN3A contest is a short season with a clear start and finish. An eight-skater bracket is seven battles; a sixteen-skater bracket is fifteen.
- 01
We invite by direct message
We pick and invite skaters one by one. We look for level, style and the will to skate in front of a camera.
- 02
We draw the bracket
Once every slot is confirmed, we hold the draw that sets the first-round matchups. It is published here, on the event page.
- 03
Two battles a week
Every battle is skated at the same skatepark or spot, with an SK8iT judge validating every line and every letter.
- 04
We film, edit and publish
Every full battle goes out on the LIN3A YouTube channel. The best moments become clips for Instagram and TikTok.
Main sponsor
LIN3A is an idea by SK8iT.
SK8iT created the format, produces every battle and is the main sponsor of every contest. Brands that join are not starting a project from scratch: they step into a series that already has a schedule, a production crew and a channel.
